Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and your choices. Written to be readable, not lawyered.

The short versionThe wheel runs entirely in your browser. The options you type, the spins and the results never leave your device unless you copy a share link, and then they travel inside that link, not through us. We use basic analytics, and advertising partners may set cookies. We do not sell data and there are no accounts.

Who we are

Spin & Pick (spin-pick.net) publishes free spin-the-wheel random picker tools and guides. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit.

What stays on your device

  • Your wheels. Options, weights and settings are kept in the page address and, for preferences such as light or dark mode, in your browser’s local storage. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Spins and results. Results are drawn and shown in your browser. We keep no record of what you spun or what won.
  • Share links. "Copy link to this wheel" encodes the wheel (and optionally one spin) in the link. Anyone you send it to can open it; we do not log it.

What we collect

  • Usage data (analytics). Google Analytics 4 gives us aggregate, non-identifying statistics: pages visited, general location, device type and how you arrived. IP addresses are not stored by GA4.
  • Server logs. Our hosting and content delivery provider (Cloudflare) records standard request logs, including IP address and user agent, for security and reliability, retained briefly.
  • Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply.

Advertising

Spin & Pick is supported by advertising. Partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show and measure ads. Where required, you will be asked for consent before such cookies are set and can change your choice from the consent link in the footer. You can opt out of personalised advertising through aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu. Some guides contain affiliate links, described in our advertising disclosure.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Analytics and advertising partners set their own, as described above. Local storage used for preferences is not a cookie and is never sent with requests.

Children

The site is suitable for general audiences, including classrooms, and collects no personal information from anyone. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold. We hold almost none; write to us and we will confirm within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above is updated and the change described here.
