How people use the food wheel

The food wheel exists because "I don’t mind, you choose" is a lie both people tell. Put the real options on the wheel, spin, and eat what it says. Most households find that the argument disappears once the choice is nobody’s fault.

Make it yours. Replace the cuisines with the six places you actually order from, or the meals you can cook from what is in the fridge. Weight the healthy option ("Salad *2") if you are trying to be good, or the treat if it is Friday. Remove-the-winner mode stops the same takeaway winning twice in one week.

For the drive-through version, the fast food wheel lists the big chains. For the "what should I cook" version, a list of ten dishes you know by heart spins better than a list of a hundred you have to look up.

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to what teachers, hosts and streamers ask us most

Can I add my local restaurants?

Yes. Clear the list and paste your own, one per line. Copy the link afterwards and the wheel is saved for next time.

How do I stop it picking the same thing every night?

Tick "Remove the winner after each spin". Whatever wins is hidden until you press Restore hidden, so a week of dinners works through the list.

What should I have for dinner tonight?

Spin. That is the whole point: the wheel is faster than the conversation, and you can veto once by spinning again.
