How people use the prize wheel
A prize wheel works two ways. Load the prizes and let each entrant spin for what they win, weighting the small prizes high and the grand prize low, the way a real carnival wheel is painted. Or load the entrants and spin once for the winner, which is what a raffle needs. Either way the draw is fair and the animation is the show.
For a giveaway that has to be seen to be fair, spin in fullscreen while recording, then copy the link. It carries the wheel and that exact spin, so anyone can replay it and see the same result land. No account is needed on either side.
Weights are written inline: "Try again *10", "Grand prize *1". The hint under the options box shows how many slices are live.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to what teachers, hosts and streamers ask us most
How do I make the grand prize rare?
Give the other prizes higher weights: "Sticker pack *8", "Grand prize *1". The odds follow the weights exactly.
Can entrants verify the draw?
Yes. Copy the link after the spin and share it. Anyone opening it can replay the identical spin, because the result is derived from the seed in the link.
Can I pick multiple winners?
Turn on "Remove the winner after each spin" and spin as many times as you have prizes. Each winner leaves the wheel so nobody wins twice.
Is there a limit on entrants?
No practical one. Paste hundreds of names; labels stop being drawn when slices are too thin, but the winner is shown large.
